Completed:

September, 2026

Location:

Capalaba, QLD

The Problem:

The existing patio wasn’t delivering what the family needed. It lacked insulation against the Queensland heat, offered no protection from bugs, and the outdoor experience wasn’t what it could be. The clients also wanted to maintain their pool view and keep natural airflow through the space, while making sure their pets could enjoy the area safely alongside them.

The Solution:

Suncoast Outdoor Living’s design team worked closely with the clients to understand every need and want before putting a plan together. The result is a new insulated patio roof to keep the temperature down from the Queensland sun, combined with a pool safe screen system that serves a dual purpose as part of the pool barrier. The screening keeps bugs out, maintains full views of the pool area and allows natural airflow to flow freely through the space. Two pet doors were also added, giving the family’s pets the freedom to come and go as needed.

What We Delivered:

Insulated patio roof – Keeps the temperature down from the Queensland sun
Pool safe screen – Doubles as part of the pool barrier for added safety
Bug-free environment – Mozzies and insects kept out day and night
Full pool views retained – Screen system maintains clear sightlines to the pool
Natural airflow maintained – Breeze continues to flow freely through the space
Pet doors installed – Two pet doors allow pets to move in and out freely

The Result:

The clients now have a modern, comfortable outdoor space they can genuinely enjoy year-round. The insulated patio keeps the heat at bay, the pool is visible and safely enclosed, bugs are a thing of the past and their pets have the freedom to be part of it all. It’s the outdoor lifestyle upgrade they were looking for.
