The Problem:

While the open design created a stunning indoor-outdoor flow, it also made the area too accessible for roaming chickens and native wildlife. Despite being animal lovers, the family needed a way to enjoy their space without sharing it with uninvited guests, while still maintaining airflow and scenic views.

The Solution:

Suncoast Outdoor Living installed a tailored screening system designed to protect the space without compromising its open feel. Removable screens were fitted to the rear of the fly-over roof to allow easy gutter maintenance, while balustrade-compliant screening was installed in the lower sections for fall protection and safety compliance.

The design carefully balanced practicality with aesthetics, ensuring the outdoor area remained open, airy, and visually connected to the surrounding landscape.
