Project Story
Completed:
April, 2025
Location:
Holland Park, QLD
The Problem:
The original patio was outdated, too low, and didn’t provide enough cover or airflow. It was limiting how and when the space could be used—and certainly didn’t match the rest of the renovated home. They needed a solution that allowed for better height, improved airflow, and year-round comfort.
The Solution:
We designed a fly-over patio roof using Queensland-made insulated panels, offering more height and thermal comfort without disrupting airflow. The use of large-span beams meant no need for extra posts, keeping the area open, spacious and inviting. This approach gave the clients a sleek and practical extension of their indoor living area.
Fly-Over Roof Design – Increased height and improved airflow
Queensland-Made Insulated Roofing – For year-round comfort
No Intermediate Support Required – Spans up to 9.9m for a clean, open look
Lighting & Fan Integration – Optional LED downlights and fans for added usability
Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living – A cost-effective lifestyle upgrade
The Result
With their new fly-over patio roof, this Holland Park home now has an outdoor area that’s functional, stylish, and suited to Brisbane’s subtropical climate. Whether it’s a warm summer night or a cool winter morning, the space can now be enjoyed every day of the year.
